The Homburg first found it's feet in fashion at the turn of the 20th century, when the recently crowned King Edward returned from the German resort town of Bad Homburg sporting a rather fetching hat with a tightly curled brim and a soft crown. From then on the Homburg became the new headwear choice of the elite; sitting snuggly between the top hat and bowler in formality, it's seen a resurgence along with with vintage fashions from the 20s and 30s.
